Sign in to AddSign and click “Allow access”

Ask Claude — the first time, it asks to use AddSign

Start a chat and type “List my AddSign templates”. Claude asks before it uses AddSign: choose Allow once, or Always allow for read-only tools like this one.

Claude works with your real AddSign data

Here it lists the templates, with the signer roles each one expects. You can ask about documents, who has signed, or for the signed PDF the same way.

Sending? You confirm every recipient first

Ask “Send the NDA to Maria Lopez (maria@example.com) and John Reed (john@example.com)”. Claude checks everything first, then shows exactly who it will send to. Nothing goes out until you click Allow once. Click Decline and nothing is sent.

What Claude can never do

Cancel or delete documents, change your templates, touch billing, or see your API keys. Every send and reminder is recorded in the document's audit trail, and you get an email for every document it sends.

Questions

Do I need an API key to connect Claude?

No. Claude connects with your AddSign login (OAuth): you sign in and click Allow access. No key is created or copied anywhere.

Can Claude send a document without asking me?

By default, no: Claude asks you to confirm every send and every reminder, and shows the recipients first. You can change that in Claude’s connector settings, but we recommend keeping confirmation on for sends. You also get an email for every document Claude sends.

How do I cancel a document Claude sent?

Claude cannot cancel or delete documents. Open the document in AddSign and cancel it there, or use the link in the “Your agent sent…” email you receive for every send.

I don’t have any templates yet. What do I do?

Claude sends documents from your AddSign templates. Create one first in AddSign under Templates → New Template, then ask Claude to send it.

How do I disconnect AddSign from Claude?

In Claude, open Settings → Connectors (or the AddSign listing), and choose Disconnect. Access stops immediately.

What does it cost?

The Claude connector is included on every AddSign plan, including the free plan. Which Claude plans can use connectors is up to Anthropic.

Does it work with other AI assistants?

Any assistant that supports MCP (the Model Context Protocol) can connect with the URL https://addsign.io/api/mcp or with an API key from Settings → API. AddSign is not in ChatGPT’s app directory yet. The full setup guide covers Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor and others.
